The Basics The 94103 includes the quality features expected of a hobby-grade model of this type, including a 2.4GHz digital radio control system and transmitter, four wheel drive system with forward and reverse functionality and a supplied 7.2v 1800mAh Ni-MH battery and Australian Standard 240V wall charger with its Ready-to-Run kit. The heart of the machine is a high precision, high torque RC540 motor with a 03018 ESC, slightly better than average for an entry-level hobby-grade RC car.
Drive Performance The more advanced features found in the 94103 Xeme that improve its handling include a skilled front steering system that impresses by delivering a quick turning response from the whole vehicle. Combined with an ESC of the 03018 calibre, sharp and responsive turning will be no problem with this machine. Other points to note include the ingenious extra-large radio tray, which increases the stability of and reduces the chance of shock damage to the servo and radio system. A cosier cubby means a more comfortable ride, a more reliable signal and ultimately a greater longevity. Nicely done, HSP.
The specially designed on-road tyres also prove their worth here. 26mm wide, they provide a good balance of grip and smoothness, anchoring the vehicle on the road but not hindering its speed.

Vehicle Durability It’s obvious that a lot of thought has been given to this aspect of the 94103 Xeme. With a Monocoque chassis crafted from high quality graphite mixed ABS protecting a number of adjoining and internal features made from strength-enhanced aluminium alloy, the Xeme has been very effectively proofed against both small knocks and full on crashes. Aluminium-crafted components include the upper deck chassis, drive shaft and shock mount. The shock absorbers are also noteworthy oil-filled, aluminium-capped numbers with progressive springs, guarding against the general wear and tear of driving. Those who live in dusty or damp areas will also benefit from the protection of the battery box, which is waterproofed against minor water contact and dust. Appearance and Style The Xeme’s styling is fairly standard for an on-road remote control car,achieving the level of realism expected but not doing much more. The stylish on-road wing is well-designed, but does nothing to make the car exceptional. There tend to be three main colour schemes to choose from; the -12202 body sports an icy blue and white design while the -12201 and -01023 versions bear two garish combinations of green and orange flames. It may not be the most universally appealing range of colours, but they aren’t unbearable either, and, hey, if the pairing of blue and white floats your boat then you, at least, are home and dry. Generally speaking, including a reasonable basic setup and a dependable collection of additional features, it is a model that has cut no corners when it comes to the quality of its materials or its design. So it might lack a little certain something that lets you say categorically, “This one,” but it will give you everything you need to get racing, and racing well. It’s a model that you can count on – will you put your trust in it?
